Days 23,24 and 25

I've been slacking the past few days. I ended up not doing Legs, Back and abs for day 23. I had too much stuff going on and I didn't feel motivated. Day 24 was supposed to be Kenpo but once again I was busy and didn't feel motivated once I got home. Day 25 was my rest day. As far as the nutrition plan, I pretty much threw it out the window the past couple of days as well. Fortunately, tomorrow is the beginning of Phase 2 which means a new workout order which will hopefully get me back in the mood. Another thing that helps is I have a couple of other friends that are on the p90x program. That should keep me motivated.

Day 23

I only did about an hour of Yoga last night. It is extremely hard to stick with the Yoga but I'm going to try. I had grilled chicken wrapped in a wheat tortilla for dinner. Good stuff. Today is Legs, Back and Ab Ripper X. I may wind up going to subway for dinner tonight. I'm not sure. Usually on Thursdays, my friends get together and watch the latest episode of The Office and Lost. So, if we're doing that, i'll probably grab some subway. Otherwise, i'll just eat what I have at home.

Day 22

I almost forgot to post today. Whoops! Yesterday was a good workout. I did 62 minutes of Shoulders and Arms and 16 minutes of Ab Ripper X. Doing P90X really lets you know where your weak spots are. I have the most trouble doing shoulder, back and lower ab exercises. It's to the point where i don't even have to use weights on some of the shoulder exercises because a) I can't do them properly with the weights I have and b) it hurts even without the weights! Tonight is Yoga I believe. I don't like it very much but i'm determined to become more limber. Another disadvantage is it's the longest workout of the plan at and hour and a half. I've got downward dog down though :P

Day 21

Really good workout yesterday. Normally I don't have any problems with the Plyo X workout. But, I decided to jump higher and squat lower. And it hurt.... We ended up going to Pizza Inn last night for dinner. I only had 3 slices and a bowl of salad. Hopefully that was ok. I think tonight i'm going to have some turkey bacon and a couple of boiled eggs. And I don't remember, but I think tonight's workout is shoulders and arms and possibly some ab ripper X.

Day 20

Well, it's day 20 and it's a Monday. Yesterday, I didn't have much in the way of food. I did discover that things you wouldn't think would have trans fats in them...do. I had some chili last night for dinner. It had .5 grams of trans fat. Here is a link to the wiki page on trans fats. Pay particular attention to the health risks section. Nutrition aside, the chest, back and ab workout was good. I started around 10:30 and the workout is about 72 minutes long. So, I was able to get a good workout, take a shower and then hit the hay. Today i've got a ham steak sandwich for lunch. My buddies and I usually have a "guys night out" on Mondays so dinner plans are up in the air. Tonight's workout is Plyometrics. It's one of my favorite workouts simply because I can do all of the exercises without struggling. :P

Day 19

The day of rest was good yesterday. I didn't eat much for breakfast or lunch, but last night was Amanda Hurdle's birthday party. I had a good sized rare NY Strip, mac and cheese, shrimp/pineapple kabobs, some cake and about 3 beers. Needless to say, I veered off on the nutrition plan a bit. But, it was a special occasion and the stuff I had was not terrible for me. Today is Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X. I'll do the workout sometime tonight. Haven't had much to eat today either. I went to the store and stocked up on my usual stuff: yogurt, hamburger meat, turkey bacon, oranges, etc... So, I'm ready to go for next week.

Day 18

The Kenpo workout was good yesterday. It's probably my favorite workout of the P90X program. Lots of movement and you really do work up a sweat. Yesterday, I had my usual breakfast and snacks as usual. For lunch, I had some fish. For dinner, I kinda splurged and had Nachos El Acapulco from El Acapulco. I don't think the meal was necessarily bad for me, but I ate a whole lot. Today is the usual nutrition routine except today is Rest X which means no workout. I have the option of doing Stretch X, but I really enjoy(and need) the one day off each week. I'm excited about dinner because it's my friend's wife's birthday and I'm going to bring some New York strips. I haven't had a steak in a while.
